· Montemayor Golf Course, Golfing Club
Montemayor is a few miles inland and enjoys a spectacular valley setting. The layout is memorable, if fiendishly difficult, with carries from tees to fairways and fairways to greens a regular requirement.
· Royal Las Brisas Golf Course, Golfing Club
Royal Las Brisas is another championship venue (Spanish Open), immaculately maintained and cleverly designed. Visitor play is restricted at certain times of year.
· San Roque Golf Course, Golfing Club
San Roque, the headquarters of the European PGA, is as challenging as it is beautiful. Close to Valderrama and Sotogrande, it completes an impressive trio at the western end of the Costa.
· Santa Clara Golf Course, Golfing Club
Santa Clara is an excellent new 18 hole course, and boasts a sumptuous clubhouse. Practice facilities here are up to American standards and the location, just east of Marbella, makes it readily accessible and easy to find!

Santa Maria has fairways which snake through a forest of pine trees and cork oaks running from the mountains to the beach.

Valderrama, one of the finest courses in the world, is a former Ryder Cup venue (1997) and has hosted the European Tour's end-of-season Volvo Masters for many years.
