Top awards for Old Course Hotel
The Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa, St Andrews has been the recipient of two prestigious awards. The AA's 2004 guide to the top 200 hotels in the United Kingdom & Ireland has upgraded its status to five red stars. Only two other hotels in Scotland have achieved this grading out of total of 31 for the UK & Ireland as a whole. In addition, it has been voted the 'leading golf resort' at the World Travel Awards in New York, beating off competition including Sandy Lane in Barbados and the Fancourt Hotel, Country Club & Golf Estate in South Africa. Over the past decade the Old Course Hotel has invested heavily in its own championship parkland golf course overlooking St Andrews, developed one of the most luxurious resort spas in the country, upgraded its dining facilities and built excellent new suites overlooking the Old Course.
